The shorter botanical trail in Mošćenička Draga leads you down a trail interspersed with dry stone walls, past occasional watercourses on limestone, to its endpoint Ozida. Along the way, you will see several different and diverse habitats typical of the area. Overgrown species-rich grasslands are significant for this area. They hold a large population of the curry plant (Helichrysum italicum) and sea centaury (Centaurium maritimum), and other Mediterranean plants, such as the greater quaking grass (Briza maxima), a species from the Aegilops genus, and some representatives of the orchid family such as the pyramidal orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis) and fragrant bug orchid (Anacamptis fragrans).
